East Harling 5-1 Sprowston Athletic
The first team continued their recent good form with their 6th win in 6 games against a struggling Sprowston Athletic side on a wet night at Church Road.
With Carrow Road looming on Sunday, changes were made to the squad before the game and would continue to made throughout the game whilst ensuring we had enough to win the game at all cost as we look to try and cement 3rd spot in the league.
The hosts got off to a good start when Scent forced the keeper into a fine diving save whilst Saint powered an effort wide at an angle.
Bareham then headed just wide before Durrant finally opened the scoring from a Scent corner with the ball eventually going in off the skippers back.
The visitors then hit back almost immediately in similar circumstances as Woodcock was unable to get enough on a punch and the ball ricocheting in off somebody’s knee in a crowded area.
Ramsbotham was then denied by a post and Dunkinson was unable to turn in from close range as the Greens came close to taking the lead again.
Bray then beat two defenders before slotting the ball in for 1-2 and skipper Durrant crashed a header against the woodwork from 4 yards.
The 3rd came shortly after half time as Tarft set off down the right before laying across for Dunkinson to side foot home from 6 yards.
Barnett crossed for a defender to score past his own keeper for the 4th as the evening drew to a close. Bareham should have notched another at the back post and a sublime Morris pass was just out of reach of Dunkinson.
Tarft volleyed wide and and Durrant headed over again before Allin eventually got the 5th just before full time as the Greens produced a good win to keep them in the hunt for 3rd.
