East Harling res 3-3 Mulbarton res
East Harling res entertained the unbeaten Mulbarton res at church road looking for an improvement on the previous weeks performance. With a few changes made in the squad Harling got off to the worst possible start and conceded a soft goal after 2 mins, 0-1. After the restart Harling started to get their foot on the ball and play, a deep cross from full back Bellingham was met at the back post and neatly guided home by the in form Hobley, 1-1. With Harling now starting to press the ball and moving it with confidence the second goal soon followed, a neat one two between Crystall and Hobley resulted in the latter stroking the ball home to finish off a class move, 2-1. With Harling’s tails up their work rate exceptional Mulbarton were struggling to get their foot on the ball and lovely through ball from Morris found Stoney who skinned his marker only to be brought down in the box for a penalty which Crystall slotted home, 3-1. That’s how it stayed until up to half time. The second half started and with Mulbarton applying lots more pressure than they did in the first half, which resulted in Harling players making mistakes and this led to Mulbarton scoring two second half goals to level the scores and despite a late header saved from Harling we couldn’t get the fourth to take all 3 points and the game finished a draw. Work needed on fitness and the results against the top teams will improve. Local cup derby this Saturday against Attleborough res.
