Hempnall res 2 – 7 Harling res
Harling made another away trip in the league looking to extend their unbeaten run to 6 games at bottom side Hempnall. The game started very scrappy and Harling struggled to get their foot on the ball with the home side playing the better football. It took some fine work from the returning Robbie Smith and the ever present Hobley to open the scoring with the latter applying the finish, 0-1. With further goals from Conroy, Smith and Hobley again, a scrappy first half came to end at 0-4. The talk at half time was about keeping a clean sheet and looking to build on a below par first half. Unfortunately not long into the half a defensive error left a Hempnall striker with an easy finish to make it 1-4. A goal from J Dennis restored Harlings 4 goal advantage, 1-5. Substitutes J Stone and C Greenhill came on to freshen things up and it wasn’t long before Greenhill made it 1-6 with a fine finish. Immediately from the kick off Hempnall scored a scrappy second, 2-6. It was left to Conroy to wrap the game up with his second and Harlings seventh, 2-7 the final score. All in all a solid performance by the lads to continue their good start to the season well done.
