Horsford Utd 1-1 East Harling …

Horsford Utd 1-1 East Harling
The first team travelled to Horsford to take on another newly promoted team for the second time in a week.
The away side got off to a flyer but despite being camped in the home sides half for the opening stages the nearest they came to a goal was when Durrant headed over from a Scent corner.
Neat play between Dolan and then Bray also then came to nothing as Dolan struggled to get enough on his cross.
The half then fizzled out into a very dull and scrappy contest with neither keeper being forced into action of any note.
Shortly after half time, Lawrence made a double substitution with Senior and Barnett replacing Chrystall and Bareham.
Down came the heavy rain and strong winds as the game was destined for 0-0.
Senior then came the closest to a goal as he struck towards goal but his right footed effort was brilliantly blocked by a covering defender in his six yard box.
Somehow the hosts then took the lead with their first effort on goal.
A short back pass was met by a striker who beat Woodcock to the pass and slotted home with ease.
With the minutes ticking down the greens found an equaliser against all odds with the way they had been playing.
Callum Bray picked up the ball 45 yards from goal, looked up and sensationally lobbed the keeper with a moment of genius.
Bareham then came back on in place of Watling as the visitors went desperately looking for a late winner.
It almost came in the dying minutes when senior beat his man with ease and pulled the ball back across the danger zone but yet again saw a superb last ditch block deny the visitors.
Next up is a tricky looking away trip to Sprowston Athletic as we go in search of our first win of the season.
