Martham 0-5 East Harling …

Martham 0-5 East Harling
The first team travelled to the coast to take on a Martham side that were enjoying their best season in division 2 in the greens final game of the season.
The visitors made a bright start and took an early lead when Morris slid in the opener after latching onto a Barnett flick on.
Minutes later the lead was doubled when a deft touch at the front post from Bareham found the corner of the net from a Scent corner.
Chances came and went before the 3rd goal as Durrant thumped two headers just over and Turner-Saint saw his shot come back of the post.
Durrant finally then finished his goal drought by heading powerfully into the top corner from another Scent delivery.
Durrant then saw a 30 yard pile drive tipped over and he also struck a post with a half volley from 12 yards out.
The 4th goal came when Tarft released Hobley to put in a pin point cross for right back Allin to head home at the back post.
Hobley then whipped in another cross that Bareham headed just wide and in doing so had to be substituted for Johnson as he clashed heads with a defender and opened up a gash above the eyebrow which needed stitches.
The second half got underway and was a different game as the visitors were happy to keep possession and move the ball around the pitch at will without really looking to score more goals.
The final goal came 15 minutes in when Scent shaped up and curled in a beauty from 25 yards out into the top corner.
Tarft then curled one just wide and Allin somehow saw three attempts kept out after running the length of the pitch to latch onto a fantastic Morris pass.
Johnson just failed to get a touch onto an Allin pass and Turner-Saint nearly got through on goal after showing a great piece of skill.
There were to be no more goals though as the visitors run out comfortable winners and will look to continue the unbeaten run into next season.
Well done all…..
